Emotional and Human Connections Linking Algeria and Qatar: A Presence Cementing Mutual Respect The 2024 Algiers International Book Fair is honored to host Qatar as a guest of honor, recognizing the deep, mutual respect that has characterized Algerian-Qatari relations for decades. Qatar supported the Algerian revolution both materially and morally through fundraising campaigns and by providing organizational means to the provisional government delegation negotiating with France in Switzerland for Algeria's self-determination.
